TotalEnergies hydrocarbon fluids range Hydroseal, with very low aromatic content, is used by main silicone sealant manufacturers. For more than two decades, the products have been used successfully as organic plasticizers, as alternative to silicone oil.
HYDROSEAL performance:
The extremely pure HYDROSEAL® range helps mastic sealant to:
• Reduce formulation costs
• Avoid yellowing problems caused by the use of organic plasticizers
• Improve the transparency of the sealant
• Improve the workability of the sealant (easy to smooth)
Our range offers an excellent technical compromise between compatibility and shrinkage properties and covers every segment of the silicone sealant market, from "DIY" (Do It Yourself) to professional qualities.

Organic plasticizers for Silane-modified polymers (SMP)
Standard formulations of SMP sealants contain phthalates, some of which are now banned. In esponse to this issue, TotalEnergies Fluids has developed HYDROSEAL HY, a high-performance hthalate-free plasticizer specially designed for manufacturers in search of uncompromising efficiency and purity.
Health & Safety concerns:
• HYDROSEAL are not considered as VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) at room temperature according to the EU 1999/13 directive (vapor pressure <0.01 kPa at 25°C)
• They have extremely low PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) & aromatic content
• Depending of the sealant formulation the stringend requirements of AgBB, French regulation, Blue Engel, GEV EMICODE regulation can be reached with HYDROSEAL G400H and HYDROSEAL G340H.
