BANOLE: “NEW MOLECULE TO CONTROL SIGATOKA” FROM SPECIAL FLUIDS DIVISION OF TotalEnergies Fluids

TotalEnergies Fluids appears in the Expreso de Guayaquil newspaper. The article “New molecule to fight Sigatoka” is dedicated to the new spray oil for the control of Sigatoka which affects bananas.

Eric Bureau, our Crop Protection application engineer, has advanced a key study to improve the control of black Sigatoka: An oil adjuvant with greater efficiency classified as readily biodegradable which has no impact on human health and environment : The paraffin oil Banole.

More and more restrictions appear on bananas against the use of harmful products to the environment, since conventional agricultural oil causes harmful effects on people and is a threat in the markets of banana export (USA, Europe, Japan).
