Our products comply with the CLP Regulation
In accordance with UN recommendations and implementation of the GHS (Globally Harmonized System), transposed in Europe through the CLP Regulation (EC) 1272/2008, TotalEnergies Fluids applies the CLP regulatory provisions to its commercial products. The CLP Regulation supersedes the Dangerous Substances Directive (67/548/EEC) and the Dangerous Preparations Directive (1999/45/EC).
Consequences of this change:
- Labels feature new hazard pictograms: the square symbols with an orange background are replaced with diamond-shaped pictograms with a red frame.
- The R-risk phrases, which inform of dangers, are replaced with H-hazard statements.
- The S-Safety phrases, which provide precautionary advice, are replaced with P statements.
These changes have applied for substances since December 1, 2010 and for mixtures since June 1, 2015.
All these changes required a complete overhaul of the SDS and labels of all products marketed by TotalEnergies Fluids.
